As we look ahead to the promise of 2024, it’s only fitting to take a moment to reflect on the journey that was 2023. Last year, Pip Care achieved several notable milestones that helped us grow and defined our path forward. From overcoming challenges and embracing opportunities, we made great progress towards our shared vision of improving the surgical outcomes and experience for all.
Our Achievements
One of the most significant achievements for Pip Care in 2023 was successfully completing the pilot with UPMC’s Center for Perioperative Care. Our focus was to create material clinical value for our partners and a great experience for their patients. Pip Care, in partnership with UPMC’s Center for Perioperative Care, accomplished both. We are incredibly proud of a publication coming soon that will highlight these outcomes.
In addition to this, we also signed an agreement with UChicago Medicine to improve the surgical experience and drive innovation. This pilot has continued into 2024 and early measures are very positive.
Our Challenges
Like many other healthcare startups, Pip Care also faced challenges. Building technology that is both meaningful and user-friendly for patients and providers is a challenge that demands a balance of innovation and empathy – and this isn’t easy. As we navigate the complex landscape of healthcare technology, we are reminded that the true measure of success lies not just in the sophistication of the technology, but in the measurable impact it has on the lives of those it serves.
Looking Ahead
Looking into the new year, I’m most excited to continue to partner with health systems and bring our solution to both patients and providers to help improve the surgical journey and deliver meaningful impact and outcomes.
What makes Pip Care so unique is that our solution benefits both sides of the surgical journey. For patients, we focus on creating a great experience through our tech-enabled platform combined with personalized health coaching support – ultimately helping to improve surgical outcomes. We also pride ourselves on removing administrative burden from providers and care teams so they can focus on providing quality care to patients.
